Moncony Chinook Smash

Single Hop, Single Malt, 100% Local. Simplicity never tasted so good. Smash beers are a relatively new concept which break brewing down to its basic elements and emphasize the flavor of a single malt and single hop variety. This beer is made from 2 row barley from NYS and has a smooth flavor on your palate with a touch of graininess and a slight grain aroma note on the nose. This is the base malt that makes up 85 - 95% of most ales. The hops are Chinook from Moncony Farms in Spencerport, owned by our Brewer, Zack Hill. These hops have intense spice and pine characteristics followed by a subtle grapefruit note.
